Allocation of Judges and Scheduling:The Purina Pro Plan National Dog Show Committee reserves the right to re-allocate judges and alter the scheduled order of judging should circumstances require. This may include changing the day of judging. Any changes will be notified.
Car Parking: All carparking at the 2023 NDS is managed by the AEC committee. Car parking in the back carpark by the building is being managed by the AEC committee and can be booked online via the Dogs NZ website when entering the shows.
Free parking is available without bookings in the front car park. AEC paid permanent carparks are not recognised during the week of these events.
Camper van parking: Pre-booked $25 per day. Contact Karla Magnus karla.m@xtra.co.nz
Catering: Catering caravans and coffee stalls will be available throughout each day.
Desexed Dogs: Spayed bitches and neutered dogs can enter in Classes 18 or 18 A. Best Neuter in show will be judged 1st to 4th. Neuter reserve of group are not required for BIS judging.
Exhibitors Timetable: Will be posted out.
No crates are permitted in the building. Dogs may only enter the building prior to their breed judging and must leave after judging. Trolleys are permitted in the relevant holding ring while the breed is being judged.
Grooming Areas: Grooming spaces are available. Marquee grooming spaces are $30 per day and must be pre-booked. Gazebo spaces: Premium $30 per day, Standard $20 per day. Bookings for all grooming spaces can be made by contacting Rhonda Ward: NDSGrooming2023@gmail.com
Stakes Classes: Exhibits entered in a breed class at the National Dog Show may be entered in a stakes class for which they are qualified. The classes are:
- Puppy Stakes: All breeds of puppies aged 3-12 calendar months on the first day of the show
- NZ Bred Stakes: All breeds of NZ bred dogs aged 6 months and over.
- Veteran Stakes: For dogs/bitches over the age of seven years
- Breeders Team Stakes
Trophies: An extensive range of ribbons, cups and prizes will be offered for competition.
